Festive Hair for Christmas: Tips for a Radiant Look

Christmas is the perfect time to shine, and your hair plays a crucial role in your festive look. With the holidays approaching, it's time to think about giving your hair that extra festive touch. Whether you prefer an elegant updo or playful curls, these tips from our founder and Hairdresser of the Year Andy Uffels will ensure your hair sparkles as much as the Christmas lights.

Plan Ahead: Think about what you want to do with your hair well in advance. This prevents last-minute stress and gives you time to purchase any needed products or accessories. If this is difficult, call your hairstylist, who is likely to have great ideas and might be willing to give you a mini-masterclass to create your Christmas look.

Condition Your Hair: Always underestimated...a good conditioner! A good conditioner provides protection, but also smooth and shiny hair, the perfect base for any festive hairstyle. Consider a leave-in conditioner for extra care or use the My Hero Wonder Spray, which also makes it easier to style your hair.

Choose a Classic Updo: An elegant bun or French twist is always stylish and festive. Festive hair accessories such as gemstone clips, velvet hair bands, or even a small Christmas decoration can transform your hairstyle into something special and add extra Christmas sparkle. Don't overdo it. It's nice when it's subtly present because then your natural beauty comes out best.

Play with Textures: Surprise yourself and others with a different look. If you normally have straight hair, try curls for a festive look. The opposite is also true. Use a curling iron or rollers for soft, romantic curls that suit any Christmas outfit. Or use a straightener to make your hair calm and smooth. Remember; never use more than 195 degrees!

Add Some Shine: A little hairspray may be necessary to keep your hair in place longer. Besides, you want your hair to smell nice. Therefore, use the Hold It There hairspray. With glitter, you can give your look that little extra. For this, it's best to use a glitter spray. Spray it lightly over your hair for a subtle, festive shine.

Experiment with Braids: Braids are versatile and can be both chic and playful. A fishtail braid or a crown braid can complete your festive outfit. If you can't do this yourself, you might still be able to schedule your hairstylist just before Christmas!

Take Care of Your Scalp: A healthy scalp is the basis of beautiful hair. Use a nourishing scalp treatment to strengthen your hair from the roots. Take care of your scalp as you do for your face.

With these tips, you're ready to shine during the Christmas holidays. And don't forget, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident in your look. Happy holidays, full of fun with family and friends!
